The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum is currently recruiting volunteers for its 2010 docent training program, which is offered Tuesday and Thursday, March 2-18.The six-session training course prepares participants to lead group tours, interpret the Museum’s exhibits, and assist at special events. This program is offered once a year and is free of charge. Each class features an important topic relevant to the Museum’s collection and instruction on how to successfully work with groups to provide an interesting, educational and fulfilling visitor experience. Session topics range from learning about the Museum’s exhibits and collections to interacting with people of all ages.
