FOR THE BEGINNER:

BEGINNERS’  KNITTING Learn the basics and make a scarf in your choice of color and stitch.   Whether you don’t know which end of the needle to hold or have dabbled but need some guidance, this class will get you ready for grown-up fun like felting and sweaters.

BEYOND BEGINNINGS, Skill requirements as indicated:

RAVENELLI SWEATER OR VEST Quick to knit on large needles with bulky yarn and suitable for many on your holiday list, this class features Jeanne Abel’s Raveneli sweater pattern.  You will learn a provisional cast-on technique, graft edges, do a 3-needle bind off and may be able to remove one more name from your shopping list to boot.  Well worth squeezing into your busy schedule.  If you’ve made a few sweaters and are ready to move on, you’re ready for this class.

TWO SOCKS ON CIRCS   (2 Classes), End single-sock syndrome forever!  Learn to knit two socks at the same time – no dp needles required.  This is  Antje Gillingham’s technique for making two socks on circs and you’ll get her first book as part of your class fee.  This has some great patterns and we’ll be making our socks from Cascade fixation following one of her patterns.  Prior sock experience is required for this one.

KIT OF THE MONTH - FUNKY SIDE-KNIT SCARF
Great gift idea for young or old, this is fast, easy, television knitting and the yarn does all the work.  Make it wide and short, long and narrow, fringed or plain.  Your options are as varied as the yarn itself - each ball is unique!  Great way to relax for a few minutes as the holiday season starts to frazzle us all.
