Volunteers support Shore Health System through the two hospital auxiliaries. Members provide patient care assistance and operate retail businesses which raise funds used to provide programs and services to people across the Mid-Shore region.

Memorial Hospital Auxiliary

The Memorial Hospital Auxiliary offers various opportunities for volunteers to serve the hospital and its patients. Volunteers staff The Bazaar at 121 Federal Street, an upscale resale shop, and Maggie’s, the hospital gift shop. Auxiliary members support patient care activities at Memorial Hospital and outpatient centers across the Mid-Shore region and oversee fundraising activities that provide funding for Memorial Hospital programs, equipment and services.  

Dorchester General Hospital Auxiliary

The Dorchester General Hospital Auxiliary relies on volunteers to support the many services it provides to the people of Cambridge and Dorchester County. Positions are available at the Robin Hood Shop retail store located at 416 High Street in Cambridge. Volunteers also staff the Hospitality Shop, Information Desk and patient care areas in the hospital. The Auxiliary raises funds that provide programs and services to the patients of Dorchester General Hospital.
